Ai Took My Job – and My Confidence Too

Three weeks ago, my colleague resigned from our company. At that time, she started with a disclaimer, saying, “This was not written by AI”.

Back in 2022, I wrote an article about Google Glass, and it was published in a newspaper. But now, if I write something similar, people would probably assume it was generated by AI.

A similar incident happened to me recently — I was planning to do a video about someone’s supercar and sent them a list of simple questions, the kind that everyday people are usually curious about. The person asked me if I had used AI to prepare the questions. I felt… nothing. Just blank.

All companies are chasing after AI. We all know there’s going to be drastic growth in the next 3–5 years. If you don’t believe me, just think about the evolution of mobile phones over the last 10 years. Do you remember back in 2007, when one of your friends had that Nokia model with buttons? Ten years later, touchscreen phones became the norm.

Now, even the mobile phone era is approaching its end. That’s why Apple’s new models are launching with cameras placed in new ways — one here, one there. The next revolution will probably be smart glasses, and AI will play a big role in that shift.

So let me come back to my original question. When that person asked me, “Was this created by AI?” — I genuinely thought to myself, “Does human creativity not have any value anymore?” I even stopped working on website development after 2022 because everything has turned into drag-and-drop creation. People no longer value the effort or skill.

I’m really curious to know what future jobs will look like and where we’ll all end up. When I ask AI about it, the answers are always related to tech jobs. So, for the younger generation — even if you’re not interested in IT, there may be no choice if you want to earn a living. Otherwise, maybe join a political party and become a leader — that’s the other answer I imagined in my mind.

Remember the famous animated movie WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class)? In it, people had ruined Earth, and a small robot was left cleaning and organizing the waste. Later in the movie, you see humans living in a building, trapped in a fake, digital world — an illusion created by lights and screens.

To the youth studying now : you’re choosing your paths right now behind of a, living in your own dreams. But think about what you can realistically expect in a few years. Will people even value your education or qualifications anymore?

Goverment need to restrict the ai website, let it use for only very imporatnt mission not for the silly things where humans can work, other wise what is the purpose of life. all business replace stuffs and ai roborts, how that business grows. means people need money right to spend to buy, even though its our of topic  many people had a doubt saying that Almightly did not do fair to people, this question raised in my work place, i asked why. the said then why some are rich and some are poor. i hope you guys can find the logic. if everybody is rich then who will go for work and how a country productivity will increase. the world need to go and go right

So where does that leave us?

Maybe we’re all just trying to find meaning in a world that’s shifting faster than we can catch up. Technology is moving at full speed, but our sense of value — of effort, creativity, and purpose — feels like it’s getting left behind. The more we automate, the more we have to ask: what’s left for humans to do, not just to earn a living, but to feel human?

I don’t have the answers. But I know we can’t blindly chase every new invention without asking deeper questions. Not just “What can AI do?” but “What should we let it do?” Because in the end, a future built entirely on convenience might not be a future worth living in.

Let’s hope we don’t forget what makes us human while trying so hard to keep up with the machines.
